First opened in 1899, the Bronx Zoo is the largest metropolitan Zoo in the US with 265 acres of land.  At its open, the zoo featured 843 animals and 22 exhibits but has grown to more than 4,000 animals, many of which are endangered of threatened.  Major exhibits include:
  • Congo Gorilla Forest
  • JungleWorld
  • Wild Asia Monorail
  • Madagascar!
  • Tiger Mountain
  • African Plains
  • World of Birds
  • World of Monkeys

IT WAS ON A SCHOOL TRIP WHEN I WAS LIKE 12 OR SOMETHING IT WAS NICE BEING A CITY KID I WAS SOO HAPPY TO SEE THINGS FACE TO FACE ALTHOU I WISH THEY WERE FREED

Take the tram...I was able to see the entire zoo and saw my first Red Panda from about an arms length away. (it was in a tree directly beside the tram way.)

This zoo is great . . . . . . if you like animals that is...lol lots to do and see.

Numerous exotic animals can be found here and is enjoyable for people of all ages.
