Sep 15, 2009 A nice park (and bigger than most areas that designate themselves as parks in Manhattan - save Central), great for relaxing and people watching and has an enclosed dog park. The beautiful Washington Square Arch is great for photo ops, and the park is centrally located near in Greenwich Village, with additional historic areas around NYU within a short walking distance. Nov 1, 2008 It was our second full day in New York and it was absolutely beautiful out. We managed to stubble across Washington Square Park. There was live music and a hula hoop contest, it was great to be there, with the locals! It was totally beautiful. They say New York isn't that family orientated, but you could have a great pinic here! Sep 21, 2008 A place thriving with people of different nationalities, cultures, professions. The most lively and memorable place I've been in the US. Just add a pinch of bohemian character of Greenwich Village and you may picture what I have on my mind. Enjoy...
