One of the most beautiful lighthouses I have visited, and the fact you can only reach it by boat makes it even more cool. You can spend hours here just walking the pristine uncrowded beaches. Some good shelling here! History buffs will want to walk through the keeper's house museum to read about the history of the lighthouse and the island itself.

The Cape Lookout Lighthouse is another great lighthouse on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Take a ferry to get to the park and enjoy the remote wilderness and beautiful beaches.

Great for REAL camping... no showers, bathrooms... etc.
