In the middle of "downtown" Portland, it bears the slogan "Portland's Living Room". Day or night, it is a great place to "people watch". On a nice day try getting lunch from one of the food carts and settle in to watch. I like to ride MAX and get off there as the starting point for shopping all the great stores nearby.

Located in the middle of downtown, "Portland's Living Room" is an open brick square with a fountain display. It hosts traveling exibits throughout the year. You can get lunch here from one of the carts, or walk down a block, past the courthouse, to the mall.

The entire area is just awesome. Whether shopping or people watching there is plenty of stuff to do in downtown Portland. The whole city is great in itself.
