If you love history, or even if you are like me and didn't do too well in it, there is so much history and emotion that strikes you in this place. From Devil's Den to the new Visitors center, there is so much stuff that one can find in this place. The pubs around here are amazing, and the ambience this place gives you is indescribable.

The best part about Gettysburg are the battle fields.   Don't worry they are everywhere (you won't miss them).  Must see the downtown area.

The only thing that made it meaningful was the copious studying I did before visiting Gettysburg. If you don't have the historical knowledge behind what happened, then it may feel like you are just going for a hike.

A fantastic memorial to the Civil War. Not only is the setting gorgeous, but there is so much history here.
