I was so disappointed. I don't know what I was expecting, but we drove for hours just to see Mt. Rushmore and then when we got there....well, it was just like the postcard. We stood there a few minutes, took a few pics, and then got back in the car. If you were going to hike up, it would probably be incredible, but if you are just going to look, well I would invest in a postcard and spend my time and gas going somewhere else.

I loved it. I found it very patriotic. The Ranger who sang the National Anthem sang the entire song which has more verses then most people know or are aware of. It was awesome to look at the monument and think of how it must have been to complete the task.

Great place to visit.... lots of history. While we were there we got to meet one of the gentlemen that helped do some of the carving and got an autographed book from him.... however i thought that the memorial would be a lot larger than they were.
