You don't know San Marcos until you float the river! Grab an tube, a bucket full of cold beverages, and a gang of friends to relax in one of the most beautiful rivers in Texas. A favorite past time for most "San Martians", floating the river has become increasingly popular with the locals and new townies (developed through the town's university). Not only can you just relax while floating down the river, you can fish, feed the ducks, go for a quick swim, fly off a rope swing, and even go down the tube chute (tube optional).

It is a great smaller river to raft, toob, or just hang out on the banks.
