Bryce Canyon - known for its beautiful and dramatic hoodoos - red rock spires and horse-shoe shaped amphitheaters caused by natural erosion.  Bryce Canyon Park is situated at an elevation of 2400-2700 metres - much higher than the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park.  Popular activities include hiking along the rim of the canyon, mule or horseback riding, and camping.

Bryce Canyon is home to several endangered species, including the California condor, the Southwestern Willow Flycatcher and the Utah Prairie Dog.

Unique geology of red rock spires and horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters, located in Southern Utah.
It has two campgrounds located in close proximity to the Visitor Center.
With a rim elevation between 8,000 to 9,100 feet, summer days are pleasant (80's) and nights are cool (40's), in the summer sunscreen is recommended.
It's a small park, so you can see it all in a couple hours.

Getting there:
Closest airports are Las Vegas and Salt Lake city.  These are about 270miles away from the park.

Bryce Canyon National Park (pronounced /ˈbraɪs/ ) is a national park located in southwestern Utah in the United States. Contained within the park is Bryce Canyon . Despite its name, this is not actually a canyon , but rather a giant natural amphitheater created by erosion along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau . Bryce is distinctive due to its geological structures, called hoodoos , formed from wind, water, and ice erosion of the river and lakebed sedimentary rocks . The red, orange and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views to visitors. Bryce is at a much higher elevation than nearby Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon . The rim at Bryce varies from 8,000 to 9,000 feet (2,400 to 2,700 m), whereas the south rim of the Grand Canyon sits at 7,000 feet (2,100 m) above sea level .

Stunning sunsets and sunrises. The trail along the rim is super easy and great to walk. Sunset point was ideal for sunset photos...get there about an hour before actual sunset 'time' though. For sunrise, Sunrise point is nice, bt not the #1 spot for photos. Head on out and find a different lookout along the rim if you're into photography. Hiking during midday is brutally hot, so use that time to eat, relax and maybe go look for prairie dogs...there are los of them across he main road from Bryce Canyon Lodge.

one of my favorite paradise on Earth. the hoodoos story fascinated me from the beginning and i do enjoy hiking alone or with my people early early in the morning. no crowded trail and the wind going through the stones cool you down while the sun is keeping you warm. pics are amazing thanks to the color and the animals around less shy.

fabulous Vegas - Greate Canyon! There's 3 ways to look around^ by car, by plane and by hellicopter. I prefer and rekommending - hellicopter! It,s most sightseeing and you have an opportunity to land inside canyon! It's the place "Must Have to visit"!

Rim Trail: It's an easy hike along the rim from Sunrise to Sunset Point. Snow may covered the trail during Winter months, so be extremely careful when travel during the snowing season. Sunset view is spectacular!
