Extremely colorful scenic area in Utah nestled between Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks that offers hiking, camping, and high mountain views.

Fantastic colors and hoodoo formations abound in this remote area just east of Cedar City. Hiking options, scenic drive options. Cedar Breaks campground has 30 campsites and is primitive camping, but still offers a bathroom with sinks and running water. Every night in the summer a ranger hosts an evening campfire program in the campground ampitheater. Pretty interesting stuff- they talked about owls last time I was there. This is a hidden part of Utah- not many crowds here. Great getaway spot. It is high altitude and gets cold at night. Even in summertime it can get down into the 30's.
