Feb 18, 2009 Located just up the road from the Keystone ferry terminal, Fort Casey State Park is a great day trip. The fort is part of an old World War Two defense system for Puget Sound, which includes the cities of Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia. Attractions include dismantled cannons, army barracks, a marine wildlife conservation center, a lighthouse, and more. As the years of neglect and abuse of the beautiful concrete structures continue, more and more of this park is being closed for renovations to the public. Go while it's still beautiful. Jan 21, 2010 It's not just a Lighthouse. It's a full park with old barracks and cannons and hidden areas to explore from the old Fort. It also has a beach area that is beautiful. While Whidbey is full of beautiful parks, beachs, and all kinds of stuff -- Fort Casey was my favorite. Related Links
