Alki Beach
About Alki Beach
A nice beach with a long pedestrian walkway, beach volleyball courts and more. Unlike most beaches in the area covered by rock and shells, Alki is a nice sandy beach with a great view of the Seattle skyline.

Mar 20, 2009 I lived on Alki Beach for 2 years. It is a great place to jog, play volleyball, or catch some rays on the rare Seattle sunny day. The only draw-back is the water is never warm enough to swim in, unless you are between 10 and 13 years old and enjoy hypothermia. Oct 30, 2008 Alki is a great place to hang out on a summer day/evening. Grab some food (try Spuds Fish and Chips) and it across the street near the water. Great for walking, biking and people watching. Kids will love playing in the sand and swimming when the weather is warm.
