If you love mountains and pine trees, the Cascades, just a short drive from Seattle, are for you. I especially love them in the fall, when the mountainsides are bursting with vibrant color and Leavenworth, WA (2 hours from Seattle) hosts the annual Leaf Festival. Check it out.

One of the most beautiful place I have seen. Of corse, I didn't see it all...Its GRAND!! Old war sites..beautiful waterfalls..Long and winding road going over the mountains, not too friendly in the winter time!
