Jan 14, 2009 This has to be one of the most scenic locations in North America, where the mountains rise dramatically from a flat valley floor. Conveniently located just an hour or so from Yellowstone National Park (to the north), it's also a heavy tourist location in the summertime. Winter snows prohibit auto travel, but snowmobiling rental and snowcat tours are available. The nearest town is Jackson, Wyoming, which is just a short drive to the south. May 12, 2009 It's an absolutely gorgeous park. The mountains are awe-inspiring and there is a lot of wildlife to see as well. I recommend doing the Inspiration Point hike at Jenny Lake; it's a beautiful way to see some of the scenery. Also, Oxbow Bend is a great place to snap some pictures of Mount Moran. If you want to see some of the best sights in the park with some expert guidance, check out Wild West Jeep Tours. Rick and Heather are amazing! Mar 19, 2009 The Grand Teton's were breathtaking. We stayed in a cabin right next to them. Every morning I'd wake up to see pink mists rising over the snowcaps...I'd never seen anything like it! The air was so clear and crisp, every day made you feel reborn. I definately reccomend visiting the Tetons...it will be an expirience you would never forget! Mar 9, 2010 Get out of your car and hike! You will not be disappointed by the incredible, endless views or the wildliffe that may surprise you at any moment. But be prepared for winter any day of the year. Related Links
