The market at the port from Montevideo is like the essence of uruguayan culture. You will find everything, from food to non-food articles up to restaurants serving traditional dishes like "Asado" and many others things. Conjoint to the Market are many bars and nightlife-places, you can spend your time.

Great restaurants and lots of local arts and crafts for sale. This is one of my favorite spots in Montevideo -- from immediately across the port through the market area and through the Old Town. Nice!
