Pico Bolívar is the highest mountain in Venezuela, at 4,981 m. (also cited as 5,007 m.)  Located in Mérida State, its top is permanently covered with Névé snow and three small glaciers. It can be also climbed by the famous highest cable car in the world ''Teleferico de Merida'' that reaches "Pico Espejo", from there you may climb to "Pico Bolivar".

Haven't been on the top! but have seen from the last station of the cable car... it's AWESOME! ... it's a pity that the glaciers are getting smaller! but it's too beautiful

Merida was the most fantastic place we visited in Venezuela. Clean, safe and surprisingly has two of the best vegetarian restaurants I've been in.

Merida is one of the best cities i´ve been in Venezuela. The nightlife is very good, good restaurants and the prices are ok.
