Japanese Covered Bridge
About Japanese Covered Bridge
One of Hoi An's main attractions, the Japanese covered bridge was built by the Japanese community back in 1593. The bridge features altars and guardians on either end - dogs on one side, monkeys on the other side. In the middle of the bridge lies a small temple. This attraction is one of several that can be visited with the coupon system.

Mar 8, 2010 Hoi An is a beautiful small city, an Unesco world heritage site, with the capability of combining the asian culture and the old french colonial influence in a very atmospheric way. I was an important port and trading centre in the 16th and 17th century. There was a japanese settlement here as well and the Japanese covered bridge was the link between the two part of the city. It is a very unique settlement one of the many attractions of Hoi An.
