Part of the Hoang Lien Mountain Range, Hua Xi Pan is the highest peak of the mountain.  Also called Fansipan, the 3,143 metre peak was branded the "Roof of Indochina." Reaching the summit is a six to seven day trek.  Several routes exist, ranging from routes for people of normal physical fitness to more demanding routes.  The best time of ascent is from mid-October to mid-November.  The area is considered one of the few genine eco-tourist facilities.

Getting there:

Ciao, Hikers. Here is your sweet challenge. Beside the best exotic goods you may find on the way up there. I have to say this is gonna be your best trip ever. Try and you'll see. Oh, by the way, don't be surprised if the kids speak to you in English, French, Chinese and Vietnamese (with some local dialects). I was though.
