dont missed that place, it is very touristic but it is worthed every cent.
it is better to take a one night or 2 nights cruise to see the halong bay, or a parth of, we had 2 nights cruise , first night on the boat (junk) and the second night we had to choose between cat ba island and a "no name" island with some bungalows.
best i think it is the second one because cat ba island it's more popular and all the tourists are going there!

Excellent green waters, very calm best to stay on board one of the Chinese Junk, Activities like Canoeing, Swiming or Hiking great place to just relex on the boat and enjoy the view.

AMAZING! Was there in June and weather was fine, only thing is in a couple of the caves theyve added coloured lighting - looks more touristy than natural. BUT what a place

Beautiful place to be. I went on a canoe and it was just amazingly beautiful. There was also a giant cave which was amazing.
You could even swim there. It was nice....
