I'm admittedly not big into performing arts and the idea of a puppet show really didn't appeal to me. But after about 4 people in the space of two days told me to go and check out this performance, I figured I had to go - especially since it was two blocks from my hotel. The theatre seating is very flat so it helps a lot to sit near the front. Buy your tickets in advance to get better seating (plus performances tend to sell out!). I don't want to spoil it too much by describing what you get as the unexpected element was really what I enjoyed the most. Very talented team and very animated looking puppets. :) Worth the 1 hour it takes to enjoy the show. Where it matters, the show is narrated in Vietnamese, English and French. Bring a program guide into the show as it helps things make sense.

There are several performance a day so you can easily choose the one that is more convenient to you. The show is accompanied by live traditional music and singing. Really great!

You must pay to watch this at least once but once is enough. Haha. The show is unique and the puppets dance and act on water. Hmn... how did they do it?
