Built in 1927 by Ngo Van Chieu, the Cao Dai Holy See is a cathedral / religious structure for the Cao Dai religion, which is a mixture of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Christianity, Islam, and Spirituality. Cao Daoists believe in a universal god represented by the Divine Eye. Cao Dai Holy See serves as the original place of worship, and features a cathedral-like structure painted in various bright colours, with the Divine Eye painted at the top. Square pagodas are situated around the edges of the building.
In the interior, a mix of animals, including lions and turtles, are mixed amongst a blue sky ceiling decorated with stars, all of which is supported by pink pillars feature green dragon sculptures. It can be considered a hodgepodge of styles and influences. Payment Accepted:

Oct 31, 2008 It is easy to combine a trip here with one to Cu Chi tunnels all in one day. I recommend skipping this and just going to Cu Chi. The temple is interesting, but it requires a ton of extra time on the crowded bus and there were other places I would have enjoyed doing more with my day. Related Links
