Situated in the Western Sahara, the lagoon at Dakhla a 37km water-lovers paradise.  Located in one of the least populated areas on earth, the lagoon is only separated from the sea by a system of sand dunes.  Within the lagoon, a variety of wildlife exists, including sea grass beds, plains of algae, salt pans, mollusks, endemic crustaceans, 41 species of fish, the Atlantic humpbacked dolphins, Caspian terns, and more.

Major activities within the lagoon include fishing (of course), and adrenaline junkie sports such as wind surfing, kite surfing, wake boarding, and more, and best of all, the temperature is a year round average of 26oC (79oF).
