Oct 13, 2008 The Luangwa Valley is very impressive. We visited South Lungwa and saw herds of elephants as well as gazelle and other animals crossing the Luangwa river. Saw numerous species in the Luangwa valley (South Luagwa) that we did not see in Tanzania, Botswana, Kenya or anywhere else, including cobra and bush babies for smaller animals. The only thing I did not like was that hunting is permitted in the more northern parts of the valley and we ran into some people who had no respect for the wildlife. (Not because they were hunters, but because they teased the animals such as Elephants.)
