Took the White Water Rafting from the Zambia side, booked with Safpar. Great guide and amazing rapids! Most of our group did a half raft, half wake board type of combo. For one class 5 rapid only me and the guide were in the raft....needless to say we were not heavy enough and the raft nearly flipped right over! I plunged upside down into the water, but held on the the raft. Great fun...ha ha. Possibly the best rapids I've experienced anywhere. If you only take a 1/2 day tour from Zambia you're stuck with a LONG and HOT hike up out of the steep canyon, which sucks, especially if you're exhausted from battling the rapids. That's why I give it a 4 not a 5 rating.

Shearwater has been doing tours here for over 20 years and it shows!! a totally awesome day - riding the wild rapids of the mighty Zambezi river. mostly grades 4 and 5, had to walk around a grade 6.
