Went to Costa Rica for our 25th anniversary. Flew into Liberia and picked up rental car. Drove to Arenal volcano region and found our resort, the Lost Iguana, easily. The resort was wonderful! Gorgeous surroundings, all rooms faced the volcano for views of lava flows (when flowing in that side). Resturant was nice, but not exceptional. Pool area nice, water was very pleasently warm up top and cool in the lower level. Walking distance to the Hanging Bridges. Highly recommend that tour! ..(More)

The next morning, we wake up and learn about the other patrols. Turns out it was a big night for Sector B as both groups talked about their experiences watching turtles. They even caught glimpse of the big one – this giant leatherback that made a false crawl. The first shift in Sector A also drew a blank with no turtles in sight all evening.

The next morning, we wake up and learn about the other patrols. Turns out it was a big night for Sector B as both groups talked about their experiences watching turtles.
