While the sections of the Berlin Wall still remaining are a poignant reminder to the past, Checkpoint Charlie, a restoration of the only border crossing between East and West Berlin , brings the Cold War to life. With the museum in the former watchtower, the larger than life photograph of Sgt. Start of my 3rd year studying German, me and the rest of my class went to Germany for a study trip, to finally use what we had been studying, and would be studying for at least one more year.. It was an amazing trip where we got to do some sightseeing in Berlin, and also see one of the concentration camps.. It were an unbelivable sight, to see how the jews were treated during the war.. Makes you realise how lucky we whom have not experienced war, or ethnic cleaning are..(More)
