1. Added: 4 years ago My 8 months stay in Iceland is very difficult to describe shortly. It was amazing time full of good emotions cos all the bad ones just vanished as fast as they appeared. In Iceland I have seen almost everything. Being there from Jan 2006 till Sept the same year obliged me to go from East to West and South to North of this amazing piece of land on mother Earth. This is were I go often per week if weather is ok and there is snow. It can be a bit dificult when the snow is missing. The summers on Iceland are fine to hike or camp.(More) 8. Added: 4 years ago Iceland is spectacular. If you have the time and money, go beyond Reykjavik and the Golden Circle. There is so much more to see. Snaefells Peninsula with its mountain which inspired the "Journey to the centre of the Earth" and seals lazing on the beach. Myvatn with its craters and stunning sunsets. Dettifoss, the most powerful waterfall in Europe. Vik with its puffins and the folk museum in Skogar. I went to Iceland in May. The weather was fine. One day was so hot I even got sunburned.
