Alto Tower Restaurant is a revolving restaurant located at the top of Telstra Tower and gives a wonderful view over the city of Canberra.  The food offered is Australian with a French twist (compliments of the new French chef).

While the food here isn't cheap it is consistently good and coupled with the amazing view over the city makes it a great place for a special night out.  I often take overseas visitors here as it's one of the more impressive restaurants in Canberra and often offers Australian specialities like kangaroo, emu and crocodile.
