Garuva's was one of the worst dining experiences I have had.
I ordered their curry of their Vegan menu and they served it with Oyster sauce (I am vegetarian). I complained and the staff told me I was wrong. Even know it smelt tasted like Oyster sauce it was actually soy sauce. Everyone at my table who tasted my meal agreed it was definitely Oyster sauce.
One of the staff members was also completely off her face which did not reflect a great deal of professionalism.
Thank Garuva's - like I can't tell the difference between Soy Oyster's. When you make a mistake admit it. Then people won’t be annoyed enough to spread the word about the experience.
My girlfriend also told me the meal (I didn’t eat it) was bland and they are overpriced!
Obviously, I will never go there again!

The food is fairly basic Asian fusion, but always reliable. There are plenty of vegetarian options, and something for everybody (ie Cajun Chicken through to Vegetable Curries). The warm bread with house made Babbaganoush is not to be missed! Yum! The restaurant itself is great for a first date, with each table surrounded by a netted curtain, dimly lit and usually quiet on week days. It's also a great place for bigger groups, and the staff take great care of you on birthdays etc. There is also a pretty funky cocktail bar out the back, where you sit on huge floor pillows. Check the website for their happy hour (the cocktails are great), and they sometimes have live music! Overall, a great spot, and something a little different,
