ideally I would have given 4.5 stars but since there are no half stars I will round up. I have eaten here many times and I love it, everything is fresh and cooked to order. The dining area has the feel of a cottage or log cabin and makes you feel right at home, the service is quick and value for dollar is top notch. once a week they offer soup day which is an all you can eat soup buffet for $9.00 with different home made soups every week. They offer many items and flavors for both the healthy consumer and the ones who maybe don't care quite as much about health. the only down side to this place is the lack of seating, it can get very busy so try your best to get there early for the best selection of seats, otherwise I highly recommend Hello Toast as one of the hidden gems of Kamloops.

I went here for lunch. Hello Toast was having their soup special, which is all you can eat soup at $8.95. The choices of soup were: Split Pea, Ukranian Hamburger, and something else. You could see it was pretty popular, as everywhere I looked around, people were sitting with their bowls of soup.

Their bunless hamburger called out to me the most though, so I went with that. For $10.95, I got a home made hamburger patty topped with cheese and onions, their special dijon mustard sauce, some home fries and a special homemade dill salad. The portions were a good size - for a hungry appetite but not overkill. It was good. I like the way they seasoned their home fries with their own version of a steak spice mix.
