Joe Fortes has been around since 1985 and has drawn a steady clientele.  It is a popular meeting spot and is particularly noted for its oysters.   The wood paneled main dining room has a horseshoe oyster bar, and there is also an excellent seasonal rooftop patio.

A seafood and chophouse, Joe Fortes is one of those places that serves solid cuisine and fits well for a special occasion as it is not a casual dining or eating place. Expect an upscale, bordering on fine dining experience, although brunch time makes it comfy for all. The oyster bar is central and a great place to watch the action. The oysters are what is most popular here, but the entire menu is great. Worth a stop if you want a nice meal.
