This restaurant was recommended by someone whose cooking I respect, so I had high hopes going there. High enough to cajoled 4 friends to accompany me. It is a little Brazilian/Mexican restaurant is somewhat hidden on Marie-Anne Street by a fairly non-descript small door. The small close quarters mean that diners dine quite closely together, so thank goodness there is a closet for you to hang your winter clothes. Outside of the appetizers that you can order in addition, the menus are all table d’hôte. In other words whatever you order, will , come with a soup, your main, coffee or tea and dessert. Even with all of that together though, the food was quite disappointing. I didn ’t actually feel like I was eating anything special, and the quality was about what I would expect some college kids to slap together. So in all, I was quite surprised. The wait staff was decent and I had some good times with friends, but I doubt I will go back.
