This was my staple dining spot for 4 years, so it better have been good right? Fast, reliable and consistently good Chinese food awaits at this café that is often full of students for Concordia, or as was the case for me, ravenous YMCA gym members post-workout. The menu features a number of lunch and dinner specials that are well worth their price, but my favorites always were the Gai-Lan dish, the Ragout de Boeuf (beef stew), and their spicy salt prawn stirfry. The waiters and waitress are friendly in their brisk fashion, and are willing to accommodate modifications (e.g., I’ll have the ragout de boeuf with extra ginger and black pepper please). The extremely affordable large portions mean that you have multiple meals out of it if you get takeout. The place is known for their General Tao, and in fact, a big blown up picture of their dish complete with local newspaper review is hung on the outside of the door. Highly recommended.
