Pure Lotus has a large menu full of various vegetarian and vegan dishes. Menus do contain pictures of each dish and the dishes do match the picture. Dishes can run from Y15-Y35 per plate. This restaurant also contains a wide variety of teas, along with real French press coffee. Pure Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant has a warm and quite environment with English speaking staff. The prices are comparable to those of other restaurants located on West Street.

Go down alley off of West Street where Cafe Under the Moon is located. You will pass Karst Pizza and cross over a small bridge. At the road, turn left at the hotel on the corner. The restaurant is located inside this hotel and is the third entrance in.

This is the best restaurant by far in Yangshuo. I have been to this town 3 times, and I insist on eating almost every meal at this place. It is a hidden gem that has not been written about by any guide book. A filling meal of 2 dishes, coffee and water are at a reasonable price given West Street prices. The quality of food is comparable to some of the better vegetarian/vegan eats of New York City, but at a fraction of the price. The French-press coffee is rich and dark. This place does a wonderful job on all braised dishes and the broccoli kebabs are to die for. You cannot go wrong on any dish you order! Their teas can run a bit expensive, but their cheapest one is still quite good. The decor of this quiet restaurant is impeccable and stylish. The waitresses are extremely friendly. This is a must eat at place if you are in Yangshuo - whether you love or don't love meat!
