An Indian restaurant that is simply named "Indian Restaurant" is not exactly the place that jumps to mind when thinking of excellent food. However, don't be mislead by the simple name and it's rather humble appearance. This might very well be the best restaurant in town. The prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere is cosy and makes you feel like being in India. On top of that; the staff speaks perfect English.The food is as mentioned terrific, from Almond Naan bread, via Lamb Rogan Josh to home made Khulfi ice cream. It's the ultimate gastronomic experience in Ceske Budejovice. As the restaurant won an important gastronomic price in 2008, you might want to make reservations during weekends.
