The garden cafe is an oasis in the usually noisy, hot, dusty Cairo. Lovely ambience with spread out areas; tables beneath umbrellas, attentive service. Lots of Egyptian light snacks available, baladi (wood cooked bread) always available. You will be sitting amongst Saudis and their entourage, British and American tourists alike. Shop later at the Nomad shop for authentic Bedouin jewelry and other crafts.

Definitely the local place to see and be seen. Cairo is a polluted, dirty city, but the evenings in this haven is rather delightful, as is the parade of people going by. Food, so so as are drinks, but parade is fine.

The most wonderful outdoor cafe with lots of trees around to have a drink, write postcards, visit with friends or just chill away from all the traffic and noise.
