An excellent small restaurant right in the old city of Nice, open only in the evening from what I know. You cook your own meat (on a heated "stone") and the staff (and owner) are very welcoming and make you feel cozy. It's an small quiet street where you can easily avoid the crowds even during full season. I always stop there when I visit Nice. http://www.lapierrebise.com/
