This delightful courtyard restaurant quickly became one of our favorite places to hang out. It is superbly pretty with a beautiful courtyard fountain. They serve a wide range of foods: excellent breakfasts, good lunches with filling sandwiches and salads and, although we never had dinner there, the menu looks good. What we did do, over and over and over again, was drop in for mid-afternoon coffee and cake. Their bakery turns out some delightful pastries and cakes. The coffee, hey you ARE in Guatemala, remember, is to out of this world. Best of all, the prices are modest. Also, if you need to have your shoes polished or your sneakers spruced up, there are several shoe shine stands near the entrance to the restaurant. Many of the restaurant patrons are here to study Spanish and this is one of their favorite hang-outs. If you engage them in conversation, they are full of useful tips and recommendations.
