Take MTR to central and walk up towards hillside..uphill is south, or Wanchai, go walk along Lockhard Rd-a little wild but nice places too

Most of the 5-stars hotel located in these districts. Central, as it's name suggested, is the CBD.
Why I suggested it is that you can immerse in the crowded developed dense urban cityscape, at the same time you can find very local streets and restaurants with a character. (of course you need to explore the nearby branched streets, rather than just staying on the main roads.)

Nightlife in Lan Kwai Fong and Wanchai are the best in the world I think...from where I see it. Have seen a few different places but Hong Kong is so small and compact you can see many many different resraurants, pubs, shopes within 2 hours and with no long travel...5 minutes in a taxi or tram to go around-fast and easy and a great buzz. Hong Kong has so much energy, so much buzz..
