Brynju íS

The first thing I do every time when I come to Akureyri is this: Go to and buy myself a large vanilla or chocolate Brynju Milkshake. The recipe is a family secret but I heard that they use milk instead of cream when making the stuff.I don't live in Akureyri so I'm only able to get the shake perhaps two times each year. The sad thing is this: All other milkshakes I have tasted since my first Brynju Shake have been unenjoyable disappointments.The Ice Cream is also fantastic but I always get the shake. It's more fantastic. Oh and it's also the last thing I do before I leave Akureyri, to get the shake that is. And if I'm lucky, I'll a few in between.Don't miss out - it's even better when there's a blizzard.
