Jul 31, 2008 Since Cinque Terre is located right on the coast, much of the local fare consists of fresh seafood. On our visit, I ordered the house specialty, Il Portocciolo, which was a medley of shrimp, squid, and clams tossed in an herb sauce with pasta. But watch out! The seafood is so fresh that the squids' beaks still may need to be removed! However, if you are down for a tiny bit of work, the seafood is the freshest you will ever have. We loved this place so much the first time, that we had to go back for a second night!
