The first restaurant I ate at in Varese. We nicknamed it the "Grapes of Wrath". As you enter the restaurant, move your eyes just over your right shoulder and look at the photograph on the wall. You will then understand the nickname. The food here is spectacular. The wine is off of the charts good. Only a couple of the staff speak English. The menu is all in Italian. Everything I have ever tried here is truly wonderful. The meal will take no less than two hours. I would allow three. This place is buried deep in the bowels of the city. You can't drive up to it. Recommend arriving via taxi. Have a great time.
