6/12/09 - we just returned from a visit to Florence last month. We tried Il Gata e La Volpe at the recommendation of our host and ended up eating there three times because the food and service were so good. The bread and balsalmic vinegar that they give you while you wait for your dinner is so good it's hard to explain. We tried their steak Florentine and were not disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A restaurant we still talk about.  Service was excellent, food was amazing (we got pizza and gnocci), and prices were reasonable.  It is near the Barghello.  We have sent several travelers there and they have enjoyed it too.
