Delish game meat and clubbing and pubbing in the same place...what more can you ask for?!!lol... miss Carni as we locals tended to call it waaay back in the 90s....i hear it is still the happening spot...the may times i was carded at the entrance while being perfectly well over 18!!!!! oh those fab days....

This is a perfect place for meat lovers. Beef, pork, turkey, chicken, crockodile... all just from fire and super tasty. It is good for small groups as well as for big companies. There is a fixed price for all food except drinksso you can eat as much as you are able to.

The range of meat on offer depends on what is available so don't expect all types of bush meat all of the time. I was there on New Years Eve in 2004 so I'm not sure if the following is a typical night's fare but we had King Prawns wrapped in smoked salmon, tomato saffron consume, plum champagne sorbet, ox, eland, ostrich, lamb, spicy sausage, quails, chicken wings, chicken, barbecued pork ribs, crocodile, chicken livers, chicken gizzards, lamb cutlets, pork. At this point we knocked the flag down to say no more, but managed a slice of tropical fruit gateau and a coffee

As you can tell from all the reviews, it's a really popular spot. I'm not sure if it's just because we were headed home after two years in the Peace Corps, but the meataliciousness of Carnivore was brilliant. The food was delicious and all of the sauces were great. Don't forget to take your "medicine" (the Carnivore cocktail). After a day of site-seeing, the indulgence of Carnivore, along with the requisite Tusker, is definitely a must!

There are a lot of different types of meat that you can try here, ranging from exotic game to the common food. A fun atmosphere.
