it always get me when someone ask me whats the best hotel or restaurant, what do you say im here in the land of the 1mill. elefants ,so it was called long time ago a city with no trafficlits 6mill wounderful people and today ?no more 1mill. elefants maby a handfull r left ,no more no trafficlits,but hotels and guesthouses all over the city .talking about sleeping i found my old bed again corner hanoi and phnom penh rd after 40 yrs. but now with a/c which didnt work but still nice and clean,clean bathroom toiletpaper reminded me of sears catalog. friendly staff 12 bucks incl.breakfast but that was nothing 2 brag about .but there r lots of restaurants stalls bars i like stalls dats where you get good local food 2-3 buck a meal and save 2 eat?? i read somewhere i eat gas for breakfast probably thats why i dont have any problem .but there is on restaurant bar called sticky finger besides good food drinks its a good starting point 2 explore the country you want 2 know anything about this country you ask mr. nhung (no disrespect on tourist info)he even can tell you where you can smell the past. now if you want 2 stay in nicer hotel with all the gimmicks you dont need 120 -150 bucks and up incl.breakfast ny prices r cheaper so otherwise we have a laundrymat postoffice busdepo tenniscourt some embassys and internet on every corner .if you want 2see the jungle (no more wildlife)its beautiful 2 far 2the east direction hamburger hill bewahre of golf balls there are still alive lots of them and dont let anybody tell you otherwise but is still the most beautiful ,friendly and save country beauty is in the eye of the behoulder .on a scale 1-10 its definitely an 8 10/4
