De Gaper means "the Pharmacist" in Dutch and in fact the pub-restaurant comprehends some characteristic decorative elements, which derive from the time when the pharmacies had the atmosphere of peculiar laboratories with huge glass bottles and wooden chests...
The lower part of the restaurant is more a pub where you can enjoy various sorts of beer both from tap and in bottle, mostly Belgium beers: very good and tasty.
On the first floor you can enjoy a very comfortable, friendly and romantic atmosphere (well that probably depends more on your company ;) and eat well prepared and served dishes, which combine traditional Dutch specialities with more sophisticated continental tastes. A very nice place that I enjoyed very much and where I like to go when I am in Eindhoven
