I love "El Bolsi". I'm paraguayan studying and living in washington dc and I love the "masitas" they are unlike no ther. If you visit Paraguay you "must" visit El Bolsi. It's one of the oldest restaurants in Asuncion and close to my house :). It's not a fancy restaurant but oh my goodness!! It brings me so many memories. try the jugo de durazno with empanadas and for dessert the masitas and medialunas...yummmmm!!!

Really delicious and quite upmarket cafe and restaurant in downtown asuncion. Does a mixture of very Paraguayan food (try the Pascualina pie) and more international foods too. Very clean and posh feeling but very cheap prices by european standards (expensive in comparaison to other paraguayan restaurants.

A very simple restaurant, just to get a good sandwich and a coke or a beer. Try the local plates: Sopa Paraguaya or Tuna or surubí fries (Croquetas de atún o de surubí)
