The best Mexican food I have ever had and I love Mexican food. Owner is Mexican and is a very attentive and entertaining host. There's a rooftop terrace that overlooks Cusco - really beautiful view, especially at night. Would recommend it to friends and would definitely eat there again.

The ambience is great, I got very impressed with the quality of the food and drinks, I had the best mojitos of my life and some kind of pervuvian fusion pasta to die for, and I was very impressed with the waiters service. There is a roof top with amazing views of the city. Highly recommended!.

Marcelo Batata has a great atmosphere and really great food. I personally enjoyed some alpaca quesadillas. But even more than that, we were blown away with western style customer service (i.e. they actually cared about the customer). So we highly recommend this restaurant.

The owner is actually Peruvian... and yes, he is wonderful :) Marcelo Batata offers such a mix of both food and drink that it is impossible to not stop here when in Cusco! The ambience is delightful being chic yet spunky. Also... it just so happens to be where I met my soon to be husband.
