May 13, 2009 hmmmm... let me see. had a great time in sagada and enjoyed dining at this place. tourists seem to like this small restaurant compaired to the others, so getting a seat can sometimes be tyring (during holy week, i hear people had to wait for more than two hours!). the piped-in music needs some variety (how many times can one endure 'el condor pasa' in muzak in this lifetime?) but waiting for the food was fun watching the variety of reactions to the house cat suddenly jumping onto lady-customers' laps :D the menu offers a variety of beef, chicken and pork selections which are probably good but only 'pork bechamel' was available during the first two times we dined here. even that ran out when we were there for a third, which was a pity because we got to like it. a lot. its basically slices of pork smothered in creamy white sauce and served with brown rice and salad on the side. i can only imagine that cooking it approximated a miracle since their kitchen space was next to infinitesimal - i kid you not. the wine is generously poured compared to most and the yoghurt, while not frozen as advertized, is good and can practically be a meal by itself. will go again next time i'm in the area. May 8, 2009 delicious and surprisingly innovative menues, not to mention the tangy French wine! the service and friendly ambiance are terrific!
