This is a great place to eat if you're a fish/seafood fan. The sea's 200 meters away, so be sure the fish is fresh, they buy it from the local fishermen and it usually is the catch of the day. The service is one of a kind and if you stay in Funchal, they pick you up from your hotel. Still, reservation is needed, even if it's a couple of hours before. You could also try hot stone steak and if you're eager for more meat, go next door to Vila da Carne: same restaurant, different dishes.
