Nov 1, 2008 The best tapas experiences I've had in Spain have been outside the main cities; Logrono isn't usually on the radar, but it's worth stopping by, and one of the better ways to spend a Friday evening there is to go to the city center and wander between the bars. Most of them have a specialty of some kind--razor clams, cuttlefish, mushrooms with garlic, etc.--and you may have to squeeze past what seems like half the city to place an order in some establishments. I should point out that La Rioja produces great wine (though it's not the only area in Spain to do so), and I'd recommend just about all of it.
